About

First of all, thank you for stopping by. I just want to make sure you get the best experience from this blog. I will be writing about my lessons in the pursuit of acting in film and television. For all of you theatre actors, although the blog is not geared for you, there still may be some useful information for you.

Until you get cast as a series regular or get a recurring role on a Television show, you will spend most of your time looking for work as an actor. When I say, “looking for work,” I mean, “Auditioning.” You will also have to keep your skills sharp and learn new skills, like marketing.

If you are starting out, chances are that when you book a job, it will work only one day. Which means, going back to marketing, and improving your “product.” The “product” is you. I chose the name, “Hardly Working Actor,” to add a little humor. If the process is not fun, you might have to re-evaluate your plan or shift your mindset to one of gratitude.

I have been “in the game,” for quite some time now. As a bi-coastal actor and have appeared in commercials, film, and television. The decision to start this blog was to share the lessons I have learned throughout the years. Hopefully, through this blog, I can saving you, your greatest commodity, which is time. Since “Time is Money,” then you’ll be saving money as well.

For most, there is a long road ahead. To not get jaded or burn out, we need to learn to enjoy the process and celebrate small victories. I hope you find value in my words. Maybe I can learn from your experiences as well. So, please feel free to share any knowledge you have with the community. I commend you on pursuing your dream and not settling. It is better to have tried and failed, to not have tried at all. I hope to see you on the screen someday soon and if I was a bit helpful, maybe you can give me a shout out when accepting your award.
